Artificial Flower


Artificial Flower is a traditional handicraft in China. It is believed to have originated in the imperial palace, so it also known as gonghua or palace flowers.

It has a history of more than 1,500 years. As early as Jin Dynasty, ladies began to wear artificial flowers on their hair as decoration. Up to now, there are over 2,000 kinds of artificial flowers.



It is made of fine woven silk. The process of making artificial flower contains: starching and dyeing of the material, shaping and pasting.

Nowadays, they have become a welcome substitution of natural flowers.
